2016 Golden Chardonnay
Carmel, California
The golden yellow hue is clearly embraced through the clear glass bottle.
Classic tropical and stone fruit aromas of peaches, pineapple, papaya, apricot, and banana with notes of lemon zest, orange blossom, and vanilla cream. In the glass, there is a sophisticated balance of fruit, mineral, oak, and acid. The fruit and acid are at the forefront with bright pineapple, peach, and star fruit. The minerality lingers on the mid-palate and finish. The oak is very subtle, and grounds the flavors by adding a soft vanilla bean nuttiness, like the perfect pie crust of a meringue pie.

2016 Casa Marin Suavignon Gris
San Antonio Valley, Chile
Sauvignon Gris, or in French known as Fié, is a rare variety which was largely abandoned after the phylloxera epidemic due to its remarkably low yields. This pink variety has a thick skin which produces more full-bodied and aromatic wines than Sauvignon Blanc. It is one of those wines with a WOW EFFECT: once you taste it, it will mark you forever. About 50 percent is fermented with natural yeast in used French oak barrels of 500 liters, where it stays for another 7 months. The other half of the wine is fermented in stainless steel. Powerful floral and spicy aromas with a touch of pink grapefruit. The palate is ripe and mouth filling, with a touch of smoky French oak, floral characters and fresh grape flavours. An innovator and visionary who has been active in the wine industry since the early 1970s, Bill is the founder of Jamieson Ranch Vineyards and is responsible for the creation of their highly recognized “Double Lariat” Napa Valley Cabernet, as well as the driving force behind Reata, Light Horse and Whiplash brands. Prior to Jamieson Ranch Vineyards, Bill was President of Hahn Family Wines for 12 years.

A community activist, vocalist and artist, Bill was a founding director of the Napa Valley Repertory Theatre and has served as president of the Arts Council of Napa Valley and currently serves on the board at Music In The Vineyards.
