The history of the ALBRECHT family as winegrowers can be traced back to 1425 with Romanu Albrecht, who settled in the town of Thann. The vineyards on clay-chalky soil are all in the Orschwihr commune, a large vine-growing area in Southern Alsace which has an early micro climate. Orschwihr is surrounded by two hills. One of them is the Pfingstberg, classified Grand Cru. Its reputation dates back to 1299. The Bollemberg is the second hill overlooking Orschwihr. It used to be a Celt cult place, then a roman one. It has a unique and special microclimate that enables rare and protected species of Mediterranean flora to grow. The subsoil is mostly limestone with some clay. It is perfect for Pinot Blanc, Pinot Auxerrois, Muscat and Gewurztraminer.

Nestled in the heart of Napa Valley, It’s an iconic winery that farms 366 acres naturally, without artificial pesticides or herbicides, and uses passion and art to handcraft food-friendly, balanced and elegant wines.”

Located at the base of the Mayacamas Mountains in the far Northwest corner of the Rutherford appellation, the Flora Springs estate is in the heart of the Napa Valley. Founded in 1978, Flora Springs has been a family affair for over three decades. As both artisan winemakers and growers, the family is committed to the traditions of fine winemaking and responsible stewardship of its 650 acres of vineyard land for future generations to savor and uphold.
Through the success of his Prisoner label, Orin Swift Cellars owner/winemaker Dave Phinney has gained access to some of the best Zinfandel vineyards in the Northern California growing community. Dave recently decided he wanted to make a high quality Zinfandel and what he created did not fit the constraints of a single AVA. There are grapes from Sonoma, Napa, Amador, Mendocino, and Contra Costa counties.
