Don’t forget !
THURSDAY APRIL 29TH, TEQUILA TASTING
7:00 TO 9:00 PM
Terry Peabody and Steve Smith, Master of Wine (the first specialist viticulturist in the world to gain this rare qualification.), and their families, began their dream together. They set a plan to buy the best vineyard land, select parcels of grapes grown by New Zealand’s best farmers, and choose a place for their homes, cellars and country restaurant. Their aim was to make single-vineyard wines – wines that are true expressions of the vineyard’s terroir – that will compete with the best in the world. CRAGGY RANGE.
Join us next Tuesday along TJ Peabody Jr. Owner of Craggy Range Winery who will be wth us as we taste these world acclaimed wines.

SAUVIGNON BLANC TE MUNA ROAD VINEYARD, 2008
Very pale straw with green hues. Rich, ripe aromatics of nectarine, spice and floral notes which are powerful, fresh and complex. The palate is densely packed with stone fruit, lime, grapefruit and mineral characters. Richly textured with an incredibly long and powerful, yet crisp and clean finish. 88 points Wine Spectator – March 31, 2009
BTG $ 8.50 Retail $21.99
RIESLING FLETCHER FAMILY VINEYARD, 2008
Very pale green straw colour. Vibrant, lifted aromas of spicy mandarin, lime, apple, spring flowers and orange zest. The palate is filled with pure mandarin and nectarine fruit characters, and citrus blossom floral notes. These flavours flow over a texture of delicate wet stone minerality. A fine bead of limey acidity and a balancing touch of natural residual sugar leave the wine finishing poised, long and flavour-filled.
BTG $ 11.00 Retail $29.99
CHARDONNAY KIDNAPERS VINEYARD, 2008
A pale straw colour with vivid green hues. Gunflint, almond and lemon zest characterise the aroma. The wine has a steely edged structure and the mid-palate is filled with white peach and oyster-shell flavours. It draws into a long, spicy finish.

PINOT NOIR TE MUNA VINEYARD, 2006
Bright ruby red in colour. Savoury spice notes are accented by perfumed aromas of violets, red cherry, blackberry and ruby grapefruit on the nose. Complex flavours of cherry, root spice, smoke and florals predominate the textural and creamy palate. The finish is long with redfruit and spice drawn out by the fine, silky tannin structure.

BORDEAUX RED TE KAHU, GIMBLETT GRAVEL VINEYARDS, 2007
54% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Malbec, 1% Petit Verdot.
Opaque core with a dark garnet coloured rim. A complex array of fruit; blackberry, blueberry and plum; dried herbs; such as thyme; and spice in the form of aniseed, with hints of earth and camphor. Equally as complex on the palate, yet meshed by savoury tannins and balanced acidity. Very long.
