Round, rich and distinctly Chalk Hill. The nose expresses aromas of lemon, orange peel, and a hint of vanilla bean from the oak influence. This wine is balanced and bright with concentrated flavors of creamy lemon custard, poached pear, almond and spice. This Chardonnay is known for its long, rich and elegant finish, and this vintage is no exception.

It fermented in two tries with a portion of full clusters. It has a beautiful nose with plenty of spices and herbs and some Pinot-like red fruit. Nearly opaque bright dark dusty color. Rich, oaky, spicy fruity toasty aromas of mulberries, burnt vanilla bean, dried leaves, and pepper – black olives with a lively, dry-yet-fruity full body and a distinctive, relaxed finish with grippy, firm tannins and moderate oak flavor. Produced with Australian clones of Syrah (and hence the name, Shiraz spelled backward) planted in 2002, the 2015 Zarihs was cropped from a very warm and early ripening year.
