2017 Jean Manciat Macon Charnay

Burgundy, France

This unoaked Chardonnay is made in stainless-steel vats to express the fruity, floral aromas and flinty minerality that is characteristic of this region. Stony yellow apple and lemon verbena tantalize the nose and seduce the palate with richness and intensity. Fresh and concentrated in the mouth, lingering notes of honeyed apple and fresh minerality round out the finish of this succulent Mâcon.

2018 Francois Cazin Cheverny Blanc

Loire Valley, France

A blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Chardonnay, the Cazin Cheverny features bright citrus aromas and complex mineral notes. The palate is deep, surprisingly full-bodied, with great acid and remarkable length.

2017 Bernard Baudry Chinon Les Granges

Loire Valley, France

100% Cabernet Franc

From 25 to 30 year-old vines on gravel and sandy soils over clay near the Vienne river. This cuvée has gotten more and more “serious” as the vines age, giving a wine that is  delightful to drink young, but that shows surprising complexity and mineral character as well. The wine shows aromas of ripe red currant and cassis with hints of violet, citrus, earth, graphite, pepper and herbs. The palate is quite mineral with firm stony acids underlying lush, chalky berry fruits, and is beautifully balanced.

BTG $8.75 Retail $21.99

2016 Redentore Merlot

Veneto, Italy

Rendentore Merlot is a true wine of place.  This is Venetian red wine in a glass: dark sour cherries, oregano and tar. Inky ruby in color with a notable gradient. The nose engulfs with balsamic vinegar, bay leaf and licorice. The clay soils from which this wine hails provide for ample structure: a pillowy mouthfeel, soft velvety tannins and cheeky acidity.

BTG $8.00 Retail $18.99

2017 Valravn Zinfandel

Sononma, California

A very lifted aroma of simmering berry sauce emanates from the glass. In the mouth there is a cascade of blue and red fruits alike, comprised of copious amounts of blueberry, cassis and blackberry compote with the faintest hint of blood orange lingering around the perimeter of the core. It is framed in a mocha bean and chocolate ganache flavor. The energetic and long finish presents a sense of freshness that invites further drinking.
