On the Palate Greengage plum, kiwi, and citrus flavors with vibrant acidity and interesting minerality BTG $7.00 Retail $13.99   2018 Pichot Vouvray Loire Valley, France This classic off-dry white is estate bottled from Chenin Blanc grapes in Vouvray. Low yields, hand harvesting and barrel fermentation give the wine its complexity and authenticity. In France they say this is ‘slightly dry’, although we would say ‘off-dry’. The aromas are honeydew, peach and a hint of spice. The palate is juicy, fresh and long, and the acidity balances the fruitiness. BTG $7.75 Retail $16.99   2017 Wolf Trap Red Blend Franschhoek Valley, South Africa The nose entices with its abundance of ripe plums, blueberries, slight spiciness and notes of violets. Dark berry fruit follows through onto a juicy, vibrant mid-palate with svelte tannins and a silky texture. The wine shows exceptional balance with fresh, integrated acidity. Plummy fruit and spice lingers on the finish. BTG $6.25 Retail $9.99     2016 La Posta “Paulucci” Malbec Mendoza, Argentina Vibrant red in color, this wine offers aromas of red cherries, raspberries, ripe plums and violets wafting from the glass along with notes of toasty oak. On the palate, the fresh berry flavors mingle with spice notes and there is a hint of soft caramel on the finish. This is a creamy, medium-bodied and well- structured wine that is incredibly full of life. 90 Pts Wine Advocate BTG $7.75 Retail 16.99     2016 Beringer Knights Valley, Cabernet Sonoma, California 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petite Verdot Beringer Vineyards has owned and farmed its Knights Valley vineyards since the mid-1960s, when the Beringer family recognized that the cobbled alluvial soils were a great place to grow high-quality wine grapes. This Cabernet is built each vintage on the notion of a Bordeaux blend, with soft and silky tannins crafted for immediate enjoyment. Aromas of lavender and clove join flavors of dark red fruit led by boysenberry, huckleberry, raspberry, black cherry and evident oak spice are joined with more traditional Knights Valley tones of black and blue fruits.
