2017 Can Sumoi Ancestral Montonegra

Penedes, Spain

A balanced, fragrant and fresh sparkling wine. In the nose, the aromas of ripe white fruit stand out, with floral notes. In the mouth it is fluid, with an elegant bubble and a slightly salty finish that makes it long and persistent.

BTG $6.50  Retail $18.99

2017 Bodegas Muga Rosado

Rioja, Spain

Garnacha ,Viura , and Tempranillo

A wine which enraptures your eyes with its salmon-pink hues and lovely light. It continues to prove captivating on the nose, producing an amalgam of highly elegant fruit aromas with reminders of apricot, strawberries and creamy hints of raspberry yogurt. On the palate, the wine has good acidity, slight citrus fruit notes and a long aftertaste. 92 Pts Vinous, 91Pts James Suckling, Wine Enthusiast top 100 wines 2018

BTG $7.25 Retail $15.99

2015 Artadi “Vinas del Gain”

Rioja, Spain

The 2015 Viñas de Gaín could very well be the finest bottling of this pure Tempranillo that comes from 20 to 30 different vineyards in the villages of Laguardia and Elvillar, located at altitudes of 400 and 700 meters on clay and limestone soils, from vines averaging 30 years of age that are farmed organically. This is a very open, expressive vintage of this bottling, serious but at the same time easy to drink. This is a clean and fruit-driven vintage. 92 Pts Robert Parker

BTG $9.50 Retail $23.99

2015 Bodegas Olivares “Altos de la Hoya”

Jumilla, Spain

Dry-farmed, ungrafted, old vines Monastrell with some 5% Garnacha fermented in 10,000-liter stainless steel vats with indigenous yeasts and aged in used barriques and larger oak vats for six to eight months. This is serious and has depth and concentration, with black fruit and the oak nicely integrated into the wine. There are mineral notes of graphite and earth and a medium-bodied palate with fine-grained tannins and a tasty finish. 90 Pts Robert Parker

BTG $7.25 Retail 15.99

2016 Teso La Monja “Almirez”

Toro, Spain

The 2016 Almirez is brilliant! Made from 100% Tinta de Toro that spent 14 months in 30% new French oak, this full-bodied, concentrated 2016 is loaded with notions of blueberries, blackberries, cedar pencil, and cured meats. With terrific depth of fruit, notable purity, and a sexy, seamless style, it’s one of those knockout wines that way over-delivers! 94 Pts Deb Dunnuck, 92 Pts James Suckling

BTG $11.25   Retail $29.99
