Our Monday night special wine tasting features the wines of Yalumba from the Barossa Valley in Australia and our special guest Jane Ferrari. Meeting Jane Ferrari is unforgettable. 2017 Yalumba Eden Valley Viognier

South Australia

Pure aromas are reminiscent of fresh apricots, lifted ginger, saffron and fresh white flowers. The palate is long, rich and luscious, with intense and expressive stone fruit flavors and hints of orange peel, finishing with an alluring freshness. This wine will continue to grow and develop in the bottle, firstly showing enhanced apricots and spice, then after a couple of years developing honey flavors and toast complexity.

2018 Yalumba Barossa Bush Vine Grenache

Sourced from low yielding gnarly bush vines, largely aged between 25 and 70 years, this wine is Barossa Grenache at its best. The Cigar; a name coined by Coonawarra Vignerons to describe the unique cigar-shaped strip of rich red terra rossa soil.

This wine is plum red in color and medium to full depth in hue. Bright cherry, chocolate and musk fruit aromas are supported by savory cedar oak. The palate is vibrant with blueberries and curry leaf, balanced by choc-mint with the tannins having a mouth filling praline texture
