2016 Mer Soleil Reserve Chardonnay
Santa Lucia Highlands, California
The dramatic climate of the Highlands – located within Monterey County – allows them to create dramatic wines. Morning fog, bright sunshine and gusting winds enable longer “hang time” for the grapes, resulting in wines of intense, complex character.A sunny yellow hue, the 2016 vintage opens with the vibrant scents of lemon blossom and honeysuckle, infused by the warmth of vanilla. The whiff of a sea breeze can be detected on the nose, adding a bright freshness. Rich and lush, the palate features flavors of ripe peach and lemon meringue pie. Lively acidity balances this wine’s creamy roundness. Notes of toasted bread combine with a final kick of acidity to create an evocative, harmonious and refreshing finish.

Red Schooner Voyage #6
Mendoza, Argentina & Napa Valley California
This Malbec is made from grapes grown in the Andes Mountains, shipped chilled to Napa Valley and produced with the same techniques as our Caymus Cabernet. Falling outside standard labeling rules, it does not include a vintage date but is known by the voyage from which it traveled (Voyage 6 is the 2015 vintage).A dark reddish purple, Voyage 6 opens with lush earthiness on the nose, as scents of ripe plums mix with Medjool dates, wildflowers, sueded leather and a fresh leafiness. Flavors of this wine follow its aromas, featuring ripe red plums, chocolate graham crackers, brown spice and soft leather. Tannins are smooth and cool, providing an unusual softness. A wisp of smokiness on the finish creates an alluring entreaty to return for another sip.
BTG $15.00 Retail 39.99

2013 Blackbird Arise
Napa Valley, California
55% Merlot; 30% Cabernet Sauvignon; 15% Cabernet Franc.
Similar to the Right Bank region of Bordeaux, the Oak Knoll District is akin in its soil composition, microclimate, and rural qualities. The affinity for Merlot (and other Bordeaux varietals) is reflected in each wonderfully aromatic, rich, and polished vintage. This wine exudes aromas of black currant, iris, and nutmeg. With flavors of licorice, cherry and fig, this wine has a richly layered mid palate with soft texture, good density and a long, lingering finish. 91 Pts James Suckling, 91 Pts wine Enthusiast
