2017 Francois Lurton Les Fumees Blanch
This is a very clean, fresh and zesty wine – full of classic Sauvignon character.
Although Francois Lurton is a famous producer based in Bordeaux, this lovely white wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in various locations all over France. It has a very aromatic and intense nose, with lots of citrus fruits including grapefruit, floral notes and a touch of smoke. This is a very clean, fresh and zesty wine, with a herbaceous character accompanying the citrus fruit notes on the palate.

2016 Lafond Chardonnay
Santa Rita Hills, California
Lemon peels, sea salt, hazelnut and honeysuckle aromas play up the more voluptuous side of Chardonnay, and hint at marshmallow without going so far. The palate is surprisingly zippy with acid and Meyer lemon zest, but also shows richer hints of browned butter and toasted almond toward the finish.
