2016 Pazo Barrantes Albarino
Rías Baixas, Spain
Produced with the fruit from a 12-hectare estate in Valle del Salnés. 2016 saw a warm summer with some rains that saved the freshness of the vintage, which resulted in a good crop. The nose is very balsamic, redolent of bay leaf with some medicinal notes and aromas of waxy apples. This wine is always clean and focused, and 2016 is no exception. The palate is supple and very tasty, with an almost salty, long finish.. 90+Wine Advocate

2013 Argyle ” Nuthouse” Riesling
Eola-Amity Hills, Oregon
Using both stainless steel and neutral oak fermentations to give more tools to play with. The stainless versions are left with a hint of residual sugar, which emphasize fresh, pure, round fruit while the neutral oak barrels are taken bone dry to bring the dichotomic elements of both mineral edge and subtle, creamy texture. The blending between these two styles across three blocks of Riesling create an excitement and energy in the salvaries. Heavenly white nectarine, lime blossom, and silvery minerality. ight and sleek, with pretty pear, white peach and lime flavors that come together harmoniously, lingering on the finish.

2016 Mer Soleil Reserve Pinot Noir
Santa Lucia Highlands, Monterey, Central Coast, California
A rich, deep red – the color of Bing cherries – this wine opens with scents of dark berries, pomace, and the woodiness of a hiking path in a redwood forest. Soft, powdery traces of old-fashioned lipstick add an intriguing element to the nose. Entry is smooth, with bright cherry flavors and a “berry basket” of blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries. Pomace and brown spice infuse the palate, which is round and coats the mouth. An initial flash of fruit gives way to soft tannins, natural acidity, and an evocative earthy character. The finish is unusually long, with hints of cranberry adding an unexpected note to the mix of this wine’s many layers. 91 Pts WW

2016 Frassinello Le Sughere Super Tuscan
Tuscany, Italy
Deep ruby red color. Le Sughere di Frassinello bursts from the glass with an exciting melange of sweet red cherries, herbs, licorice and tobacco. It shows lovely mid-palate depth in a medium-bodied, sleek style supported by firm yet well-integrated tannins.

2016 Justin Cabernet
Paso Robles, California
Dark purple ruby core, slightly lighter at the rim showing light staining on the glass. Aromatic with bright ripe black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, baking spice, savory dried autumn leaves, subtle violet floral notes with a hint of caramelized barrel sweetness.
Dry, moderate plus bodied, with ripe red and black cherry, and blackcurrant fruit joined by vanilla and cinnamon spice notes on the entry. The mid-palate is fresh with sustained ripe fruit, toasty oak notes, and softly textured tannins. The finish is moderately long with notes of cherry candy and blackcurrant fruit matched with subtle classic Cabernet savory elements.
