2015 Zind Humbrecht Turckheim Gewurztraminer

Alcase, France

The intensely colored 2015 Alsace Gewurztraminer Turckheim displays a beautifully clear, precise and aromatic, also pure and mineral bouquet with spicy flavors intertwined with ripe orange aromas. Round, ripe and highly elegant on the palate, this is a full-bodied, silky textured, intense and seductive Gewurz with a firm but very fine tannin structure and remarkable complexity in the long, perfectly balanced finish. 91 Wine Advocate

BTG $10.75 Retail $27.99

2010 Dosio Nebbiola D Alba

Piedmonte, Italy

Garnet red with slight orange reflections , notes of rose, violets, blackberries and red currants , tastes very fine and elegant with smooth tannins that are well integrated with the acidity

BTG $8.75 Retail $21.99

2014 Jax Y3 Taureau

Napa Valley, California

A terrific value and an amazing sleeper of the vintage is the 2014 Y3 Taureau Proprietary Red, a mélange of 45% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Syrah and 10% Zinfandel. This is a steal , and Napa could certainly use more wines that are creatively put together like this one. Kudos to winemaker Kirk Venge – this is a killer bargain. Ruby purple in color, with loads of black cherry and briary blackcurrant fruit, the wine is meaty and refreshing, with hints of mocha and earth. Medium to full-bodied, luscious and velvety, and then some. 89 Pts Robert Parker

BTG $9.00   Retail $22.99

2013  Sequoia Grove Cabernet

Napa Valley, California

Sequoia Grove’s 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is dark, fleshy and supple, especially for the year. Plum, blackberry, sage, mint, mocha and leather open up in a dark, brooding Cabernet that should drink well with minimal cellaring. The blend is 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc, 9% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec and 1% Syrah.

91 Pts Antonio Galloni Vinous

BTG $12.75 Retail $34.99

2014 Old Soul Zinfandel

Lodi, California

Harvested from estate owned vineyards, old vines that naturally lend themselves to producing dense raspberry, blackberry and cherry aromas and flavors that are accented by lush chocolate and vanilla notes. The palate is luscious and round with a silky mouth-feel and a long, enticing finish.

BTG $7.00 Retail $14.99
