2015 JEAN-MAURICE RAFFAULT Chinon White
Loire Valley, France
100 % Chenin Blanc
This rare wine, made from Chenin Blanc grapes, represents only 2% of the total Chinon production. The gapes are planted mostly in the commune of Ligre, on chalky, limestone clay soils. J-M Raffault’s Chinon Blanc is fermented at low temperatures with only native yeasts. It is a white wine of true finesse, at once rich and very fresh with notes of citrus, honey and white fruits. Plump and open in feel, with yellow apple and white peach flavors, lined with a light salted butter thread. Floral highlights show on the modestly juicy finish. 90 Pts Wine Spectator

60% Grenache and 40% Carignan
Aged in a combination of concrete tanks. Large wood foudres and smaller French oak barrels. The wine offers loads of licorice and black raspberries and seems to represent the quintessential style of Priorat in its opulence – floral, blueberry and black raspberry fruit, intense minerality and silky, lush tannins. 95 Pts Previous vintage

Marietta Cellars Arme Lot 3
Paso Robles, California
, a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot and the rest Malbec and Petit Verdot. This is a big Bordeaux blend, aged up to three years in neutral oak prior to being bottled. It’s a blend of three vintages, 2011, 2012 and 2013. All the fruit comes from not only their estate, but from many of their close friends located in Sonoma and Mendocino. Elegant black cherry and blackcurrant fruit as well as tobacco leaf, cedar wood, licorice and earth. It’s medium to full-bodied, lush and succulent, which is their objective. 90 Pts Robert Parker
