HOLLYWOOD VINE WINE TASTING
Tuesday September 13th 2016
6-9 Pm No charge for Tastings

2015 Jean-Maurice Raffault CHINON ROSE
Loire Valley, France
Bright orange-pink. Dried red berries, floral oils and minerals on the incisive nose. Dry and nervy on the palate, offering bitter cherry and rose pastille flavors and a bracing kick of orange zest. Puts on weight with air and finishes stony and long, with repeating floral character and nervy mineral bite.
90 Pts Vinous
BTG $6.75 Retail $14.99

2015 DELAILLE UNIQUE SAUVIGNON BLANC
Loire Valley, France
Clear and just slightly golden in the glass, this wine always has an aroma unlike other Sauv Blancs from the surrounding Touraine region (implied by the ‘Unique’ name,) never fruity, strongly savory and almost a cool mint streak. Also very fresh, as if the herbs have just been torn and the oils are still wet on your hands. On the palate the texture is more juicy and generous, and the pulpier white fruit characters come through, but there is still a nice nervy tone through the finish that makes you thirsty for more.
BTG $7.00 Retail $15.99

2015 DOM GROSBOIS CHINON CUISINE MA MERE
Loire Valley, France
An elegant, unoaked style of Chinon, is composed entirely of Cabernet Franc. The nose is fresh and expressive with youthful fresh aromas of ripe berry and green peppercorn, while the soft, silky and fruit-driven palate offers black fruit, roasted pepper, bitter orange and tobacco leaf. Refreshing acidity and structured tannins merge with subtle notes of spice on the finish.
BTG $8.75 Retail $21.99

2014 BUJANDA TINTO
Rioja Spain
Youthful purple color. High-pitched aromas of dark berries and cherry complicated by pungent flowers and clove. Pliant but energetic blackberry and bitter cherry flavors pick up a peppery nuance with air. Gentle tannins lend shape to the persistent floral finish. 89 Pts Vinous
BTG $5.75 Retail $10.99

2014 BRAMARE COCODRILO RED BLEND
Mendoza, Argentina
Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon some Petit Verdot, Merlot and Malbec. It has a smoky, balsamic nose with the herbal aromas of the Bordeaux grapes, notes of cigar ash and also ripe berries with some air-dried meat. The medium to full-bodied palate is quite compact and has very polished tannins. This wine is barrel-aged for 15 months with 20% new American oak barrels. 90 Pts Wine Advocate
BTG $11.75 Retail $31.99
