2015 Jules Taylor Sauvignon Blanc
Marlbourough. New Zealand
This Sauvignon Blanc captures the true essence of Marlborough. Aromas leap out of the glass in an explosion of passionfruit, grapefruit, white fleshed nectarines and notes of nettle and jalapeño pepper. The palate shows concentrated flavours of citrus, passionfruit and lemon grass. It has a nice texture with a firm backbone of juicy acidity. 89 Pts Wine Advocate

2014 Chateau du Chatelard Beaujolais Villages
Burgundy, France
The 2014 Beaujolais Cuvee Vieilles Vignes comes from 50- to 80-year-old vines and sees 30% carbonic maceration before aging in concrete tanks for 4 months. The nose is clean and fresh with lively red cherries and strawberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, ripe tannin, plenty of red fruit and quite a lush finish that is a pure delight. This excellent Beaujolais was one of the real finds during my tastings in the region. 90 Pts Wine Advocate
BTG $8.25 Retail $19.99

2009 Ch Moulin de Cabanieu Medoc
Bordeaux, France
60% Merlot 40% Cabernet Sauvignon
12 months in French oak barrels.
Lovely color with garnet tints. On the palate, the wine is expressive and offers red fruits and toasted notes.
An easy to drink Médoc to drink now or to keep 3 years minimum.
BTG $7.00 Retail $15.99

2012 Leret-Montpezat Cahor (Malbec)
Southwest, France
A ripe, modern style, with plenty of seductively spiced sweet cherry, dark plum and blackberry flavors. Loaded with milk chocolate and mocha accents, this finishes with notes of dried ginger and allspice. 90 Pts Wine Spectator
BTG $7.75 Retail $17.99

2014 Nine North Chasing Lions Cabernet
Wahluke Slope, Washington
The 2014 Chasing Lions Cabernet Sauvignon is bright with ripe red cherries leaping out of the glass, complementing aromas of boysenberry and spicy red plum in the mouth. This juicy and inviting wine shows flavors of milk chocolate, sweet red berries and a slight oaky smokiness, all harmoniously blended in a matrix of soft and supple tannins. The delicate vanilla finish lingers long after the last sip is gone.
