HOLLYWOOD VINE WINE TASTING
Tuesday, July 28th, 2015
6-9 Pm No charge for Tastings

2014 AIA VECCHIA Vermentino
Tuscany, Italy
This shows fine intensity to the peach, anise and grapefruit flavors, remaining balanced and picking up hints of spice and mineral on the finish. 89 Pts. Stephen Tanzer
BTG $6.00 Retail $12.99

2013 Stewart Chardonnay
Sonoma, Ca
Refreshing and full-bodied, it has initial aromas of wet sandstone leading into a full bouquet of white peach and hazelnut. The rich palate boasts flavors of honeydew and nectarine with just the slightest undertone of apricot. Well-structured acidity and nuanced French oak give this wine great texture and length. Lovely upon first release with enough structure to age for years to come.
BTG $9.75 Retail $23.99

2010 Maculan Palazzotto Cabernet
Veneto, Italy
The wine showcases the volcanic soils of the Breganze DOC. Indeed, the mineral dryness is truly exceptional: It runs down the back of the wine like a long zipper on a tight black dress. Palazzotto is layered and rich with territory-driven notes of dried earth and garden herb that give it extra liveliness. This wine offers a clean and well-made portrait of Cabernet Sauvignon: You’d never tire of drinking it.
90 Pts Wine Advocate
BTG $11.50 Retail $31.99

2013 LA POSTA DEL VIÑATERO Malbec, Bonarda and Syrah
Mendoza, Argentina
The cherry tart and roasted plum flavors are firm and savory in this well-sculpted red. Sandalwood and smoky notes appear midpalate, lingering into the fresh and chewy finish, with accents of white chocolate. 89 Pts Wine Spectator
BTG $6.00 Retail $12.99

2011 Milbrandt Estate Merlot
Wahluke Slope, Washington
Polished, ripe and opulent, with blueberry and black cherry flavors, and mocha and pepper overtones underlined by sharp acidity. Has intensity and depth. 90 Pts wine Spectator
BTG $9.75 Retail 25.99
