2012 Lafond Chardonnay
Santa Barbara, Ca
This yellow colored Chardonnay from Lafond is very very good. It opens with fragrant oak and apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty oak infused lemon and apple blend. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely.

2013 McManis Cabernet
California
Deep ruby in color, has aromas of bright Cassis. The medium body is accompanied by flavors of rich dark berry fruit. The well rounded tannin structure is followed by notes of mocha and hints of smoke on the finish.

2010 Izadi Reserve
Rioja, Spain
Bodegas Izadi’s owner, the Anton family, also owns the well-known Finca Villacreces in Ribera del Duero. Izadi is a relatively large estate with more than 375 acres in Rioja Alavesa. About 40% of the vineyards are over 70 years of age, which is quite impressive. The 2010 Reserva is another remarkable bargain. Made from 100% Tempranillo aged 14 months in American and French oak, it boasts a dense purple color as well as a big, sweet perfume of cassis, vanillin, graphite and forest floor. Full-bodied and ripe with terrific texture, purity and palate presence, this wine can be drunk now or cellared for 5-10 years, possibly longer. 92 Pts Robert Parker
BTG $8.00 Retail $19.99

2011 Chateau Teyssier St Emilion
Bordeaux, France
85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. An over-achieving estate for a number of years now, this dense purple wine exhibits oodles of creme de cassis and licorice, hints of subtle barbecue smoke and toast, terrific texture and a long, succulent, fleshy finish. 92 Pts Robert Parker
BTG $9.50 Retail 24.99
