2011 Ross Andrew Meadow White
Oregon/Washinhton
Medium-bodied, lively and sweetly fruited effort that has plenty of sugared peaches, lychee nut and citrus as well as good overall texture and freshness. Comprised mostly of Pinot Blanc, yet with smaller portions of Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer, it’s a delicious easygoing white meant for quaffing .

2012 Sonoma-Cutrer Russian River Ranches Chardonnay
Sonoma, California
Fruit aromas of green apple, lime and pineapple are complemented with touches of nougat, caramel and Sonoma-Cutrer’s signature minerality. True to the Russian River Ranches style, the wine is elegant and balanced with a nice, bright acidity. Crisp and zesty flavors of lime, lemon drop and grapefruit are accented with peach notes and a nice barrel spice. A light, creamy mid-palate flows to a crisp, citrus acidity for a long, lingering after palate.
BTG $8.50 Retail $21.99

2009 Monteti “Caburno” 65-25-10 Cabernet Sauvignon, Alicante Bouschet and Merlot
Tuscany, Italy
a full and generous wine with layers of red cherry, light spice and leather that are delivered in quick succession. Sharp freshness cuts to the back of the palate and gives this wine an incredibly vibrant feel. The menthol reinforces those sensations and peppermint-like tones also present here. At this price, this is an unbelievable steal. 91 Pts Wine Advocate

2010 Spice Route “Chakalaka” Syrah, Mourvedré, Carignan, Tannat, Grenache and Petite Sirah.
Swartland, South Africa
Solid, featuring dark plum, currant and blackberry fruit melded with a roasted apple wood note. A sanguine edge fills in the finish, exhibiting enough length and depth for modest cellaring. A terrific value. 91 Pts Wine Spectator

2012 Carnivor Cabernet
California
Notes of espresso, toasted oak and chocolate give the sturdy mid-palate an edgy undertone.Big and bold in style, Carnivor Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep, inky color that alludes to its rich dark fruit layers. A plush, velvety mouthfeel creates a refined smoothness that leads the way to a long, silky finish.
