There are so many exciting things happening in the world of craft beers, we’ve had a number of requests to host another beer tasting and class here at Hollywood Vine. Our craft beer ace Josh Brent will introduce us to these outstanding beers. Josh is a South Florida native whose love of high quality beer stems from travels to New England, Colorado, the Pacific Northwest, Belgium and Germany. He currently works in the craft beer industry as a Sales Representative for Brown Specialty, who is the largest distributor in Florida for American craft beers as well as specialty imports. It is a point of pride for him to be a part of the revival of real beer and to be able to foster its growth in his native stomping grounds. Because of the great response we anticipate you must call us with a credit card # to reserve your seat.

2010 Riglos Gran Malbec
Mendoza, Argentina
This highly colored, velvet purple wine is a classic expression of Malbec, showing plum, currant and wild cherry aromas wrapped in nuances of chocolate and background notes of oak. On the palate, red berry and dark stone fruit impressions dominate, set in a texture of silky, supple tannins and sweet, luscious fruit lifted by a fine, measured acidity. Some oak enters the picture here, as this cuvee is aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels for about 14 months. This is a hefty, rich, impressive wine. Abundant notes of black currants, black cherries, licorice, flowers, vanillin and spice box are found in the aromas and flavors of this medium to full-bodied, silky, well-endowed wine.
