2009 CC Cabernet
Created by Master Somellier Richard Betts from Betts & Scholl
This Cabernet will easily destroy most California Cab bottlings in the $70 to $80 price range. It sports the unique signature of Napa mountain fruit – beautiful plum, blueberry, red and black cherry aromatics, bits of mint, tar, tobacco, and vanilla – all wrapped around a streak of acidity that you can only find in Cabernet from the hills above route 29. The wine is a sleek mouthful.
BTG $9.00 Retail $22.99

2007 Xtant Petit Batard
65% Cabernet Sauvignon20% Merlot 15% Malbec
Petit Batard is a second label for Xtant. The grapes are sourced from five different Napa Valley vineyards in Rutherford, St. Helena, and a vineyard in Calistoga. The wine is aged 36mo in a blend of 1/3 new to 2/3 neutral French & American oak barrels. Rich mélange of black fruit and chocolate notes spiked with vanillia on the palate. Dry tannins and balanced acidity carry the fruit to its long, lingering finish.
BTG $12.00 Retail $32.99
