2011 St. Cosme “Little James” White Blend
Languedoc, France
Under the Saint-Cosme label, a new offering, the 2011 Little James Blanc, is made from Sauvignon Blanc,
Muscat Sec and Viognier. It reminds me of a French version of the marvelous Botani Dry Muscat from Malaga, Spain.
It offers a fragrant bouquet of spring flowers, dry, crisp, light-bodied flavors, and a fresh personality.
Enjoy this impressive white wine over the next 12 months.
BTG $5.75 Retail $12.99

2011 Michel Gassier Costieres de Nimes Nostre Pais
Costieres de Nimes, Languedoc Roussillon, France
Aromas and rich, honeyed, full-bodied texture reminded me of the famous
whiteChateauneuf du Pape made by Beaucastel, which sells for three or more times the price. An amazing blend of 90% Grenache Blanc, 5% Roussanne and 5% Viognier aged six months in French oak, the Roussanne component jumps from the glass, offering notes of acacia flowers, honeysuckle, white peach, quince and pineapple. The flamboyant, intense aromatics are followed by a full-bodied, exuberant, dry white wine that must be tasted to be believed. I suspect this offering has some aging potential, but why risk it given how beautiful it is showing at present.

BTG $7.75 Retail $19.99

2009 Bodegas Volver Tarima Hill Monastrell blend
Alicante, Spain
The 2009 Tarima Hill reveals sumptuous aromas of camphor, sweet, smoky oak, blackberry and blueberry liqueur, and crushed rocks. Deep and full-bodied with silky tannins and a long finish, this beauty was aged in 100% French oak for 20 months.
92 pts Robert Parker
BTG $7.00 Retail $16.99

2010 Eberle Vineyard Selection Cabernet
Paso Robles, California
Displays cassis, mocha, and tobacco characteristics and is blended from several distinguished Paso Robles vineyards, including Eberle Estate.
BTG $8.75 Retail $21.99

2008 La Giaretta, Classico, Amarone della Valpolicella .
Veneto, Italy
Ripe nose of chocolate, oak, prunes, coconut, spice and berry fruit. Very sweet vanilla oak, firm juicy tannins and dark jammy fruit on the palate.
BTG $13.50 Retail $37.99
