2011 Killka Torrontes
Napa Valley, California
The Torrontés fruit for this wine is sourced from the Valle de Uco, not Salta’s Valle….The wine is well made, showing minerals and floral notes on the nose and light Muscat flavors with good acidity on a light to medium weight palate. This is peachy and a bit oily on the nose, but not harsh or pointed. It feels full and fleshy, with sweet, ripe flavors of melon, citrus and lychee. Long and melony on the finish

Chateau La Freynelle, Bordeaux Blanc 2011
Bordeaux, France
Very pretty floral and stone fruit aromas waft up from the glass, with apple blossoms and pears showing the most. Similar flavors show on the palate, with the addition of Meyer lemon adding a citrus tang. Partial malolactic fermentation softens the palate and adds apple notes to the mid-palate. Acids are well balanced. This is a very nice wine, particularly for the price.

2007 Stratton Lummis The Magician Lot 11
Oakville, California
Ripe black cherries mingle with traditional dark red fruits, smoky oak and exquisite spices. This wine is complex. Its flavors will linger and yet it is crisp, surprisingly fresh and easy to drink. Drink it now, but it will taste great for many months to come. The grapes used Cabernet Dorsa, Maxime Rouge, Drunkenfelder, Petite Sirah, Shiraz, Petite Verdot
BTG $6.00 Retail $15.99

2009 Cameron Hughes Cabernet Lot 248
Lot 248 is purple/black in color with a sultry smoldering nose infused with toasty oak and cherry. Concentrated black fruit is layered with subtle notes of chaparral. Bold yet refined tannins compliment a fruit-driven finish.
Alexander Valley, California

BTG $6.00 Retail $15.99

2009 Milbrandt Cabernet
Columbia Valley, Washington
Our Cabernet Sauvignon is dark red with aromas of ripe Bing cherries, cassis, currants, blackberries, and vanilla oak with toffee notes. The flavors are ripe and layered with gentle tannins. Our Traditions bottling is approachable with a long and smooth finish. “Dark and ripe, this is dense with currant and plum concentration, wrapping chocolate and caramel notes around the fruit as the creamy finish persists. Drink now through 2014.” 90 Wine Spectator
