Situated in the small village of Verdigny in the Sancerre region, the Fournier family has been making wine for many generations; this is a perfect little Sauvignon Blanc, Soft, subtle mineral notes are wrapped up in aromatics of melon and citrus. Cono Sur Bicycle Viognier, 2009
Medium golden color characteristic of the variety. Sweet fruity notes of apricots, citric and peaches combine with pleasant oak aromas. Fresh and lively in mouth, this Viognier with concentrated stone fruits, is fresh tasty, full and savory. A wine of great character, density and structure, with a good acidity level and great persistence.

75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 5% Syrah, 5% Petite Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Grenache
A complex nose of black cherry, ripe blackberry and stewed cranberry swirl around touches of cinnamon bark and dark cocoa powder. Leading with silky red cherry and bright cassis notes, the velvety palate also displays intriguing hints of sandalwood, cherry cola and toasted vanilla, backed by fine tannins that enliven the smooth, lengthy finish.

St. Hallett Poacher’s Blend, 2008
Hailing from the famed Barossa Valley, St Hallett’s Poacher’s Blend is a combination of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes with a varying degree of Riesling added to each vintage; Light, refreshing, fruity and dry; There is definitely citrus in there, but I also detected pineapple, passion fruit and melon. With this much fruit, it’s a wonder that it can maintain its crisp, dry finish.

Alma Negra Bonarda, 2009
Alma Negra (translating to ‘dark soul’) is a blend of Bonarda (60 % and Malbec 40%) , Grapes for Alma Negra are sourced from vineyards owned by Ernesto Catena. On the palate Alma Negra highlights rich dark fruit. The wine is tightly wound around a core of ripe and dense tannin. It is a full bodied blend that exhibits great length and gives way to a showy finish.

This is an extremely concentrated, yet focused Cabernet Sauvignon dominated by ripe dark fruit, black pepper, cassis and vanilla.

Cantine del Taburno Falanghina, 2010
Pretty white with a nice mixture of minerality and white fruit on the nose. The distinct mix of sugarfied candy and subtle vegetal notes. On the palate, the acidity clashes nicely with the dense deep honey dew flavoring. Nice green fruit and vegetables collide to make a perfect interracial marriage with a nice solid finish.

Adami Prosecco Garbèl 13, NV
Garbèl, which in ancient local dialect means a dry, crisp, pleasantly tart wine, is produced from the hilly vineyards in the Colli Trevigiani area. The ample nose releases crisp-edged, complex fruit notes, and the palate is full-flavored with a crisp acidity.

Jorge Ordoñez Botani Moscatel, 2010
100% Moscatel (Muscat) from 70 years old vines
The Botani comes from the Málaga wine growing region of Spain, within the larger Andalucia region.
Green, grassy, floral and minerally on the nose. The wine shows multiple dimensions on the palate; green apple, orange, grapefruit with subtle white flowers and fresh squeezed lime acidity. A hint of anise and spice toward the medium finish.

Charles Smith Velvet Devil Merlot, 2008
The Velvet Devil does pack some flavor. Think darker fruits like blackberries and or even chocolate-covered cherries. The bright-violet red is smooth (like velvet, you might say) on the palate and aromatic, giving off a clean, spicy scent with a hint of tobacco at the end. At 13.5 percent alcohol, there’s a little bit of heat to each sip, but it’s not overpowering.

Tikal Patriota, 2010
60% Bonarda, 40% Malbec
Aromas of bright berry/cherry fruit and electric-purple color. Like swallowing a whole bowl of mixed ripe berries at once. Big body yet very balanced, with luscious layers of raspberry, cherry, and cocoa flavors. Just a hint of baking spice at the end brings it all together.
