For our next tasting we’ll be trying a white and red from Italy and France and beautiful red from Spain; all wines are great values and have earned fantastic scores from the critics. Cheers!

Fresh and floral bouquet with a hint of pears and apricots. Very inviting with bright fruit and an easy drinking style with a pleasing hint of almonds in the aftertaste.

Domaine de Terres Dorres Beaujolais Blanc Chardonnay, 2010
100% Chardonnay
A complex bouquet of lime, oregano & peach with hints of chalk dust, flowers & sea breeze set up luscious flavors of peach & lime. The finish is a fresh interchange of fruit and mineral, with a crispness uncommon to Chardonnay.

Domaine de Terres Dorres Beaujolais l’Ancien Vielles Vignes , 2010
Bright ruby. Raspberry and cherry on the nose, with complicating notes of celery seed and anise. Spicy and firm on entry, then sweeter and rounder in the middle palate, offering tangy red fruit flavors and a touch of bitter herbs. Refreshingly brisk on the finish, with the cherry and herbal notes repeating. 88+ pts Robert Parker
