Nikiforou Moschofilero, 2010
Producing an aromatic white wine, Moschofilero is an indigenous grape variety with a pronounced reddish-grey skin.
This Peloponnese vin gris has a dollop of Messinian (S.W. Greece) Roditis blended in (also rose-skinned), making Nikifourou’s offering positively a lip-smackin vin de gris; medium bodied, dry, good high acidity, some intensity, mineraity, peach and green apple with a firm finish.
BTG $ 6.00 Retail $14.99

Seabicuit Ranch Chardonnay, 2008
Delightfully rich, and elegant. Fermented in small oak barrels with sur-lies aging. Seabiscuit Ranch Chardonnay is the limited-release version of a “reserve” style of Chardonnay. Rich complex fruit flavors abound, with an underpinning of pleasant oak aromas, all supported by bright acidity. The wine is flavorful of green apples and pears, with mouth-filling flavors and a long-lasting finish.

Bodegas Izadi Reserva, Rioja 2006
75% Tempranillo, 15% Graciano and 10% Cabernet and Grenache
Bodegas Izadi’s 2006 Reserva was sourced from 60+ year-old Tempranillo vines aged 14 months in American oak. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it offers up a lovely perfume of violets, spice box, incense, mineral, and blackberry. Elegant as well as structured on the palate.

BTG $ 8.50 Retail $21.99

Bodega del Desierto Cabernet Franc, 2009
Really inviting, with gorgeous toasted vanilla and dark espresso notes leading the way for lush plum, fig and blackberry fruit flavors. Underlying tobacco and roasted earth notes add length to the full-bodied finish.
BTG $ 6.75 Retail $16.99

Torbreck Woodcutter Shiraz, 2009
Deep garnet purple-colored, the 2009 Woodcutter’s Shiraz is intensely scented of ripe cherry, kirsch and blackberry preserve with some floral notes and nuances of jasmine tea and spice box. Full bodied, concentrated and crisp in the mouth, it has a medium level of fine tannins to texture the flesh, finishing long.
