In our next tasting we’ll have a great tour of Italy:

The Bisol family is Valdobbiadene (North East Italy) wine-growers for five centuries. Testimonials attesting to the presence of the Bisol family in the historical heart of the production zone of Prosecco, which is the area known as “Chartice” – the current and prestigious Cartizze hill – can be found as early as the sixteenth century.

Terredora is avant-garde – successfully combining age old traditions, modern innovation and firmly sound technical know-how. With over 180 hectares privately owned and an additional 20 hectares leased in the most esteemed areas around Avellino, Terredora is one of the the third largest wineries in the south of Italy. It is worth mentioning, that thanks to the soils and the climate, the wines of Irpinia develop their own unique character. Due to the altitude of the private vineyards, the soils and the resulting thermal conditions, the wines of Terredora achieve an intensive elegant fruit and seductive bouquet.

Suavia have had a mega couple of years with their Soave Classicos scooping Wine Spectator and Gambero Rosso awards. Suavia produce only Soave wines and with 4 very different Soaves (2 you can see in the episode below, a further oaked Soave Classico and a Recioto di Soave) they seem on the fast track to joining the other kings of Soave, Inama, Pieropan, Gini and Anselmi.

The family business dates back to 1890 when Damilano in Barolo – Langhe the country that gave its name to the wine, beautiful and generous land that for centuries has shown its vocation to produce “the king of wines” – Giuseppe Borgogno, great grandfather of current owners, began to grow and produce wine grapes of ownership. Barolo Lecinquevigne arises from the five vineyards located in the most suitable areas for the production of Nebbiolo grapes for Barolo, its nectar combines the qualities of the finest clay-limestone soil of five common as Barolo Piedmont, Verduno Grinzane Cavour La Morra and Novello.

Fattoria del Cerro, with its 93 hectares of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano vineyards recorded in the register, is the largest private estate producing Vino Nobile. The spaciousness and the different exposition of the vineyards allow selecting the best grapes to make high quality wines. Prugnolo Gentile, the grape behind Nobile di Montepulciano, is the clone of Sangiovese, typical of this area, and which, over the course of the centuries, has adapted itself to local growing conditions.
