Carmel Road Monterrey Riesling, 2009

95.7% Riesling, 4.2% Gewurztraminer, .1% Chardonnay.

Intense lemon drop aromas greet the nose supported by notes of fennel, tropical flowers, passion fruit and a hint of bay leaf. Moderately sweet on entry with a rich, expansive mouth feel that gains focus from the well-integrated acidity. There are deep notes of lightly dried orchard fruits, guava, passion fruit and lemon verbena on the palate that yield to a bright, lightly pithy lemon/lime character on the finish.

BTG $6.25                                          Retail $15.99

Arrowood Sonoma County Chardonnay, 2009

The wine offers up notes of ripe apples, toasty oak and vanilla. The palate is rich and velvety with lush tropical fruit flavors, hints of pear and bright acid notes that lead into the long finish.

Ray’s Station Merlot, 2006

Bold, balanced, complex. Thick layers of cherry, plum and other stone fruits follow distinct aromas of tobacco and coffee bean.

Stonestreet Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 2006

No wine better depicts the extraordinary range of Cabernet Sauvignon expression from Alexander Mountain Estate better than this one. The mid-mountain blocks provide floral and spice aromatics, flesh and vivid red fruit while the higher blocks offer a black mineral streak and etched structural backbone.

BTG $ 11.00                                       Retail $29.99

 Arrowood  Syrah Kuljian Vineyards, 2007

100% Syrah, Dry Creek Valley – Kuljian Vineyards

Each year, the Kuljian vineyard produces concentrated, hedonistic, opulent Syrah. This 2007 is dark, dense and sumptuous. The nose ripe and plum-like, with earth, spice, smoke and leather. The palate is full and lush in texture and flavor, backed by smooth, well-integrated tannins. This may be the last vintage from this vineyard. 90+ pts Robert Parker

BTG $ 7.25                                     Retail $18.99
