Picked by hand from the Valentin Bianchi Estate vineyards (Mendoza, Argentina) the grapes (50% Malvasia,  50%  Sauvignon Blanc) are crushed and cooled, followed by 12 hours of cold maceration  and pressing. New Age  white is a light yellow/green colored wine, with fruity and floral aromas of great intensity. Balanced acidity leads to soft, semi-sweet and slightly effervescent flavors and mouth feel. It is an extremely refreshing, vivacious and sensual wine.

Henry’s Drive Vignerons is the winery of the Longbottom family of Padthaway, South Australia. PILLAR BOX’S LINE which was unveiled in the 2004 vintage, is named for the ubiquitous red Pillar Boxes (mailboxes) that first appeared in the Padthaway region in the 1850s when the modern postal service was brought to australia with the introduction of the postage stamp. The Longbottoms brought in the consulting winemaker Chris Ringland to help in the creation of this highly praised, value-priced line.

67% Sauv Blanc, 28% Verdelho, 5% Chardonnay

Sauvignon Blanc from the Henry’s Drive vineyards was of extremely high quality in 2008 – it greatly contributes to the fresh lively aromas of limes, grapefruit, kiwi fruit, spicy fennel and a touch of grassiness. The Verdelho expresses itself through a little pineapple and lychee fruit, as well as textural complexity on the palate, while the Chardonnay impacts on palate weight and the overall smoothness of the wine. The palate displays characteristic Sauvignon Blanc crispness and flinty mineral acidity, an attractive depth of fruit flavor and a persistent finish.

The grapes come primarily from the Asti and Doña Elsa Estate, situated in Rama Caíida, San Rafael, Mendoza, around 760 meters above sea level. This wine has an intense red/purple color and an enjoyable, complex nose that is reminiscent of berries, spice, cedar, chocolate and much more.
