SIGNORELLO ESTATE CABERNET SAUVIGNON, 2005

The Estate program follows traditional French winemaking practices. Techniques include the use of extended maceration (each lot averaged 25 days on the grape skins) and frequent pumping-over (two times a day). The 2005 vintage aged for 21 months in 43% new Troncais, Nevers and Alliers Oak . To preserve fruit intensity and body, the wine was not filtered prior to bottling on August 7, 2007. It is a deep, dark red color and opens to raspberry, anise, chocolate and vanilla. The lush, full-bodied palette continues with flavor of red berry, cedar, leather and hints of tobacco. This wine’s incredible balance and long finish is accentuated by its integrated tannins and round, lush flavors.

TITUS NAPA VALLEY ZINFANDEL, 2007

Titus Vineyards Napa Valley Zinfandel is produced from grapes grown on the valley floor vineyard on Silverado Trail just north of St. Helena. The 30+ year-old vines are planted on St. George rootstock and grown without irrigation or “dry-farmed”. This bright and lively Zinfandel delivers ripe aromas and flavors of raspberries and cherries alongside fresh black and white pepper that are all wrapped in dark baking chocolate and spices.

Owen Roe’s Sinister Hand is an exhuberant, lush, lively, juicy blend of Rhone varietals. It is traditionally a blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre from several Yakima area vineyards. The primary source for this wine is Dr. Steve Elerding’s vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills, where the proximity of the Columbia River is a vital part of the success of these traditional Rhone varietals. This wine is very dark with fruit flavors, pepper and an excellent texture.

Careful ageing for twelve months in oak casks, followed by at least a further six months in the bottle. The result is a complex wine, rich in aromas and flavours. Clean, bright ruby red with aromas of vanilla, toast and spices. Well-structured, meaty and balanced in the mouth. 87 pts Robert Parker

LA RIOJA ALTA VIÑA ALBERDI RESERVA, 2003

Tempranillo from Briñas, Rodezno and Labastida

The fermentation processes were normal and the wine was dry after 12 days. After hard fermentation and devatting, it underwent 26 days of malolactic fermentation. It was aged for 2 years in American oak casks, new oak for the first year and oak an average of 3 years old for the second. It was racked four times by hand and by candlelight. Bottled in January, 2007. The wine is bright cherry red, with a medium robe and light pinkish highlights in the glass. Intense, very fresh aroma, with hints of wild strawberries and sweet raspberries, perfectly assembled with balsamic hints of cinnamon, roasting, coconut and vanilla. Round and well-bodied to the palate, slightly acid and therefore lively. Smooth, silky tannins, thanks to perfectly ripened grapes and ageing in the cask. Good, slightly acid and fresh after-taste. 90pts Robert Parker

TOM EDDY TENZ SAUVIGNON BLANC, 2007

TENZ is a winegrowing partnership between the Eddy Family and our grower friends in Marlborough, just miles from Cloudy Bay. Notes of grapefruit, kiwi, fig, litchi, and hay greet us in the aroma; the middle mouth is very round and full, yet is perfectly balanced with the acid on the finish with mouth-watering flavors of crisp lemon and pink grapefruit.

KUMEU RIVER VILLAGE CHARDONNAY, 2008

This wine was fermented 1/3 French oak barriques, and 2/3 in stainless steel tanks to allow emphasis on the ripe peach and melon aromas of the Chardonnay frui; it  features very attractive lifted fruit aromas, along with a touch of nuttiness: the hint of hazelnut that is so typical of Chardonnay. The palate also shows a nice peachy ripeness along with a crisp flinty character that gives the wine a refreshing cleansing quality.

MOHUA PINOT NOIR 2008

From Central Otago, we bring you the Mohua  wines at 45deg South, this is the southernmost grape growing region of New Zealand an perhaps the world; the wine has aromas of violets, dried fruits and cherry. The palate has sweet cherry, plum and spice with full mouth feel, fine tannin structure and a very long warm finish.

GRANT BURGE MIAMBI, 2007

The fruit is grown mainly in the Miamba vineyard, at the southern end of the Barossa, the Miamba Shiraz is a richly coloured dark garnet with youthful purple hues. The wine bursts with intense aromas of blackberries wrapped in milk chocolate with complimentary sweet spice. The palate round and luscious with generous fruit flavours, intense raspberries, peppered spice and subtle vanillin oak. A wine with excellent weight, rounded tannins and excellent length.

PETER LEHMANN MENTOR CABERNET SAUVIGNON

This Barossa, Australia Cabernet Sauvignon was fermented and matured in 100% French oak hogsheads and has an alcohol content of 14%. Purple-black color with a pretty nose of blackberry, flowers, cassis and vanilla oak. Silky smooth, beautiful and supple with blackcurrants, charred oak and hints of baking spices underneath.
